Model 98 is where it really started for our brand. It was the original loafer made for King George VI by Louis Wildsmith. Designed as a country house shoe to be worn after his shooting weekends, it incorporated a lighter sole and slip-on practicality that was an innovation at the time. The design has been updated over the years to fit a modern consumer, but our focus on craftsmanship hasn’t changed. All our loafers take inspiration from our archived designs and feature the Wildsmith diamond brogue.
